Chino pants With or without tucks.FEATURE 92
Chino pants With or without tucks.Since launching DESCENDANT in 2014, we have been making chino pants with and without tucks. It may be a little unusual for a brand like ours to go out of its way to create products with and without tucks, but we make them because we need both. It feels like tucked chino pants have become commonplace these days, but 10 years ago, you could only find them at thrift shops.
After getting fitted and adjusted every season, we finally settled on the current silhouette about two seasons ago. The tucked version has two tucks. I created it with the image I had in mind of a young man wearing pants with the waist too big and the belt sliding upwards because his body has not fully grown into them yet. It was similar for me when I was younger and the '90s theme comes from these details.

The ones without tucks use degreased fabric, commonly seen in military wear, and I think they do have a military look. When styled with a flannel shirt, it gives you an American look. With or without tucks, both use 100% organic cotton with tapering that narrows toward the hems. We made a wide wale corduroy for the ones without tucks for this season. How they fit with shoes depends on the waist position, but make sure they fit in the right place. I think the hem can be short or just enough to cover your shoes.

I believe that a person’s style can be differentiated by how they wear their pants. The impression can be quite different whether there have tucks or not.
