DESCENDANT

It is the season of endings and beginnings. Spring is coming. During this period, ceremonies such as graduation and enrollment continue to take place.

DESCENDANT was originally a brand started by my wife and I.
It has been 10 years since we launched the brand, with the idea that our children, who were still young at the time, would grow with the clothes that their parents had made.

My son is finishing his elementary school and the sailing school he has been attending.
So, for the ceremony, we are paying homage with a blazer, button-down shirt and chino pants for a bit of formality.
We are not a formal wear brand, but it’s our 10th year, end of school, beginning of school, just as an example of the current season.

The button-down shirts we were wearing were called KENNEDY’S. We have continued to make them every season since our first collection 10 years ago, so they have been the standard for years now. The blazer was also released at that time, but this season is one of the first reissues since.

Personally, I believe that the way to wear clothes is free, clothes can be worn in any way they see fit.
However, I think the important point is to understand when, where and what to wear.
KENNEDY'S, the 10-year player's button-down shirt, can be worn in different ways to suit different occasions.

Clothing is a part of ones identity. Who am I and where do I come from?
It is a way of expression and also serves as a message.

But in the end, you can tell just by looking at the feet.
That’s like a testimony, so to speak.
