DESCENDANT

There is something nice about what working people wear.
This applies not only to uniforms and workwear but also to everyday wear, such as T-shirts. It makes you feel like you’re wearing something “normal.”

We are here at DELIGHT in Tamagawa today. It may be more accurate to say “today as well.” DELIGHT is a local pub that just celebrated its 15th anniversary the other day and the British-style fish and chips, made by owner MASA (Masafumi Miyazaki), are insanely delicious. Although it doesn’t exist anymore, I’ve known MASA since he was working at a nightclub called Milk in Ebisu, so we’ve known each other for about 25 years. He also helped me in my 30s when I used to rent a garage near DELIGHT and often tinkered with my motorcycles. Just a little side note, I suggested the name “DELIGHT.” (Laughs)

The short sleeved T-shirts that MASA and crew are wearing are the ones we plan to release as SPOT. The body colors include white and black, mango red and tea. Graphics are resized and reissued. I also created different designs for kids.

I believe that from the moment anything becomes yours, that’s when it becomes your uniform. There is something cool about people who wear everyday “normal” workwear. I always feel this way when I see MASA and others.
